RAT & MOUSE CONTROL
Rodents affect our daily lives in several ways. Their incisor teeth grow continuously so they have to gnaw just to keep them short. This is fine unless it’s your power cables or water pipes! They also eat and contaminate your food, whilst spreading disease as they continually urinate and defecate.
I offer managed preventative programs for rodent control, fantastic for the hospitality, food and wine industries. I also stock a variety of traps and bait stations products for domestic use and for sale.
SPIDER TREATMENTS
Spiders in Central Otago typically form into 2 categories.
- Webbing spiders that build unsightly webs on houses and fences. Treated with an exterior treatment only.
- Other spiders that include whitetail/redbacks. For these I recommend an interior and exterior spider treatment.

FLIES & WASP CONTROL
Flies
Common in Central Otago particularly in the summer time.
Cluster flies – increasingly prevalent typically in rural settings surrounded by irrigation. They return indoors after a summer spent outside early March time, an exterior treatment before this will prevent them from coming indoors.
Wasps
These can be a real pain in more ways than one. I can treat the nest or set up a Vespex program.
BED BUGS INSPECTION & TREATMENT
Bed Bugs are surprisingly common in the Central Otago and Southern Lakes regions as a result of high visitor accommodation.
Bed Bugs require five blood feeds to develop from egg to adult. The duration is dependent on temperature ranging from 21 days at 30°C to over a year at temperatures below 16°C.
Bed Bugs can prove to be a challenge to treat. Success is achieved through thorough inspection, treatment, staff education and follow ups.
EFFECTIVE RABBIT CONTROL
Rabbits are a long term problem in Central Otago and their control is a legal requirement for landowners.
